ARSM Diploma Success
Many congratulations to Helen Wright in achieving a merit mark score for the ARSM (Associate of The Royal Schools of Music) Piano Performance Diploma taken in November 2019 under the tuition of Dr Michael Spacie.
Helen received some excellent comments from the examiner.
Comments for the pieces of the performance:-
“….was stylishly conceived. It had a good sense of direction and voicing was usually well defined….the rubato was mostly well handled in expressive fashion….exhibited a vast tonal range encompassing a vivid range of emotions and moods….often exhibited a positive sense of line….were clearly differentiated in tempo. Both had plenty of energy in delivery….providing an ebullient close to the programme.”

“The instrument was well managed with only a few lapses in control of the voice projection through the programme. It was stylistically engaged….Performances were committed and the ebb and flow of moods through the programme was effective and handled well.”
